時が経つにつれ、時代も変化していくものです。何の話だったっけ。そうだ、ケンリーは悪い人ではないけど、偉大でもありません。

リンカーンやリーとは違います。でも1920年に女性の入学を認めたのは、偉業と言えるでしょう。サラ・ローレンス大学創立の6年前ですから、時代を先取りしていました。

そこで『リンカーン』は、『エイブラハム（アブラハム）・リンカーン（英: Abraham Lincoln）』で間違いないとして、 では、この『リー』というのは誰だ？となる。

『リンカーン』を調べると、その偉大な功績の一つとして、
奴隷解放が挙げられ、アメリカの南北戦争の北部連邦を率いて、
戦争に勝利した人物と記されている。「Men of Color to Arms! Now or Never」
（有色人種の男性よ、戦場へ！今か、または永遠に！）

その際に南部を率いて戦ったのが、『ロバート・E・リー（ロバート・エドワード・リー（Robert Edward Lee）』という軍人。

なので、『he's no Lincoln and he's no Lee.』という表現を、『エヴァ・ガルシア』は、恐らく『アブラハム・リンカーン（北軍・奴隷解放の象徴）』と『ロバート・E・リー（南軍の英雄）』の対比を使って、表しているのだと思う。

つまり、エヴァは『ケンリー（he）は、リンカーンほど偉大な指導者ではないし、リーほどのカリスマ的な才能を持つ人でもない』みたいな意味合いで言っているんだろう。

ところが、その本当の目的は、先進的な思想などではなく、お金の為だったんです。

第一次大戦によって住民は減り、混迷の中、教育を受けようという男性は少数でした。
更にPTSD患者の増加や、インフルエンザの大流行も重なりました。

しかし、高等教育を求める未婚女性も大勢いました。ケンリーはそんな女性たちに目をつけたんです。

共学に向けて、学生寮が2棟増設されました。

狂騒の20年代とはいえ、性の革命が起こる遥か昔です。

Like that's six years before Sarah Lawrence was established,so,yeah,good on you Kenly College for being ahead of the curve on that one.

But,yeah,the reason,the real reason they let women in wasn't because they were super progressive or anything,it's because they needed the money.

World War Ⅰ had like totally ravaged the population and there were not a lot of dudes looking to get their education when they were worried about starting families.
And those who were were dealing with PTSD and the influenza pandemic that wiped out a lot of potencial student bodies.

However,there were a lot of spinsters looking to make something of themselves and Kenly capitalized on this new demand for learning for ladies.

In order to go co-ed,two additional dorms were built to house the new students.

I mean,it was the roaring twenties but it was still the twenties and like,way before the sexual revolution was even a thing.

And it took like another thirty-seven years for Kenly to be like,naw,we don't want to be associated with that creepy ass secret society bs anymore.

They wanted to appear more modern and liberal and tried to rebrand the college as a bastion for free thinkers and exploration.But,there is still some really jacked up shit in the student code of conduct.

It's creepy as fuck.I mean like there is a section on how puertoRican you can be to be a member.like,what?』

Some chick in the seventies got tired of staring at the big dick in the quad so she was like,"we need a naked chick to counter-balance that shit".

That's some white feminist nonsense.Like,not to body shame or whateves,but just throwing a naked silver lady,that blinds the fuck out of you on sunny days in front of the library,does not offset the huge marble dong that you can see from space.

さて、前回の放送内容がちょっと憂鬱だったとのお声を頂戴しました。食料問題なんて考えたくもないんでしょうけど、ちゃんと話すべきよ。

キャッスルではアクアポニックスを取り入れ、太陽光と風力と水力発電を利用してます。すごくクリーンでサステナブルでしょ。

魚がフンをした水は、フィルターを通って、屋外の庭で使われるか、トマトやピーマンの肥料になります。循環システムってやつね。
水槽の上の水耕パネルが、野菜を育て、水に酸素を送り込むおかげで魚を収穫でき、マリはフィッシュタコスを作れるってわけ。

バイオテロで荒廃した土地でも有効よ。ウィスコンシンの地下室で試してもいい。

お互いにやり方を教え合えば、この冬、誰も飢えずに済む。ほんとケンリーの寮に欲しかったくらい。冷凍ブリートの代わりにジャンクフードは安くて手軽だけどね。魚を育ててさばくよりもずっと。でも正直、時々あの豆とチーズのブリートが無性に恋しくなる。はあ、ジャンクフードが食いてー

I guess people don't like to think about food supply issues, but like, we should totally talk about it.

Like, at the Castle we've built this aquaponics system. It's indoor, it uses solar, wind and hydro power. So it's super clean and sustainable.

The fish poop, the water either goes through a filter where we collect the poop and use it in the outdoor gardens, or it goes through into the flood beds to filter it to fertilize the tomatoes and peppers, before cycling back into the system, and then floating green rafts on top of the fish tanks give us salads and help oxygenate the water and then we harvest the fish and Mari makes fish tacos.

Like, if we can set this up in what used to be a condemned biohazard, people in like Wisconsin could do this in their basements.

No one needs to starve this winter if we all just teach each other how to do this shit. Like, I really wish we had this in the dorms at Kenly instead of frozen microwave burritos.

But, I guess it was way cheaper and faster to feed us trash food than raise and butcher a fish. I'm not gonna lie though. Sometimes you just want a shitty bean and cheese burrito with tortilla chips.
